Appointments

Bristol Flying Centre are pleased to announce the following new appointments:-

Julian Telling – TRTO, Head Training (Flight Training)

Tom Shaw – TRTO, Head of Training (Groundschool)

Pat Wagstaff – Engineering Director

David Patience – Finance Director

Geoffrey Peet – Commercial Director

 

Type Rating Approval

Bristol Flying Centre is pleased to announce that it has the CAA approval to conduct Type Rating Courses for the Citation CJ525 Series Jet Aircraft, in addition to its’ King Air Type Rating courses. The new approval will encompass the two popular aircraft for which pilots wish to endorse on their licence.

The additional appointment required a revamp of the Groundschool Training Suite within the BFC Building.. Using modern and updated training systems, within comfortable surroundings, it now offers the candidate easy to learn but advanced learning skills. Comments from recent students confirm this.

With regard to the Citation CJ525 Flight Training, this is exclusively conducted in the aircraft (2), which are based at Bristol International Airport. BFC is the only provider of Aircraft Training on this type within the UK

 

Engineering

Pat Wagstaff, BFC’s Engineering Director is pleased to announce that following the CAA approval for Citation CJ525 Series maintenance and with the delivery of Centreline Air Charter’s
3rd Citation Jet  this week, proposals now in hand to extend the hours of maintenance availability here at Bristol International Airport.

Pat commented that he has recently added two extra engineering staff to compliment the additional workload and also added that Debbie Chedzoy had joined the company in the role of Parts Person.

In addition Pat mentioned that as well as an increase in the Diamond Aircraft maintenance from other training providers, ie. Cabair, CSE and Wolverhampton Flight Training and numerous private owners,  maintenance requirements from Air France has been hosted for the past 12 months by BFC Engineering. Also another King Air operator is using BFC for online maintenance.

With regard to the revised landing fees at BRS, Pat has secured a reduced fee by way of the training rate and is happy to offer you a quotation in this respect.

 

Flight Training

Bristol Flying Centre (BFC) was introduced to almost 1000 aspiring pilots and their supporters at the recent Flyer Professional Flight Training Show held at the Renaisannce, Hotel, London Heathrow.

The Flyer Show was a huge success with BFC as well as the large number of delegates representing the Aviation Industry.

Commenting, Geoffrey Peet, BFC’s Commecial Director would like to thank all the visitors and all the new students who have since booked onto Professional Flight Training at Bristol.

Also, Geoffrey added that special thanks should go to Darren Ward and his team for the excellent
production of the event and his never ending support. Well done Darren !
