Flight Training
|
Bristol Flying Centre
is housed in a new building on the south side of Bristol International
airport, and has been designed specifically to fulfil the needs of
the students
and their training requirements. We have been a leading player in
the commercial training field for a number of years, and have acquired
a reputation for our excellent facilities and quality of training
provided. The majority of students
attend Bristol Flying Centre on the recommendation of past students
and this is something we are very proud of. |
 |
The training fleet includes 1 King
Air B200, 6 Seneca II's, 2 PA 28's, and 3 PA 28R, plus two purpose
built type specific Seneca II FNPT 2 simulators. The simulators are
built into Seneca fuselages with all controls and instruments an exact
match for the aircraft used during your flight training. The complete
package includes visual aids and full digital avionics suite together
with accurate control loading and plotting to aid post flight student
analysis. Thus, the transition from simulator to aircraft can be made
with relative ease.
|
 |
In the last year our students
successfully completed their instrument ratings with a first series
pass rate of 91%, and CPL ratings at 100%. These excellent pass rates
are achieved by strictly controlling our Student-Instructor ratio
together with our high standard of Instructors.
Flight tests are conducted at Bristol Airport from the CAA Regional
Test Centre based within our flight centre. This means incurring no
additional costs of repositioning, which can get very expensive if
you have to do more than one test. |
 |
Bristol International Airport is
a moderately busy regional airport with comprehensive instrument approaches
and easy access to relatively undisturbed airspace to the North and
South of the airfield. Other airfields used for training and tests
include Cardiff, Exeter and Filton, all of which have ILS and NDB
facilities. |
 |
If you are planning a tour of UK
schools, you are welcome to call in and view our operation. We open
from 07:30 to 19:30 or later, seven days a week. Whilst here you will
be able to talk to current students and tour our facilities at your
leisure.
