With so many flight training organisations to choose from we understand the difficulties you face when making a decision about where to train. For this reason we will be constantly updating our Student page with testimonials from previous students, plus any other information we can provide to give you an idea of student life here at Bristol Flying Centre.

"I just heard today. I applied for a scholarship with GAPAN for JOC training and am one of the lucky two that got it. It's for the MCC and JOC out in the Netherlands with EPST. So fingers crossed it all goes well. Just like to say a big thank you to BFC while I'm writing to you.

Roy asked me on the last day if BFC could've done better for me or what you could have improved on. It's really great to say that 4 weeks after leaving I still cannot think of anything. You all made it a great experience and I'm sure I'll be back for the IR renewal in the future".

Dawn Hunter, BFC Student April 2006

"My name is Martin Nicholls, I'm 25 years old, from a small town called Haverfordwest, which is in South West Wales.

Upon passing the last of my JAA Theoretical Exams in October 2004, I decided to start calling various Flight Training Companies in the beginning of 2005, before the better flying weather started. I phoned various companies, but the one that really stood out was Bristol Flying Centre, speaking to Katie Rees made me realise how helpful and accommodating the personnel at Bristol were going to be. Acting on Katie's advice I turned up in Bristol to check the place out and meet some instructors. The building itself was very modern, clean, tidy and the atmosphere was very pleasant and helpful. Seeing the current students talking together, and meeting instructors who were very knowledgeable, made me realise Bristol Flying Centre was definitely the best choice.

For my IR training I was allocated Tony Gould, Chief Flying Instructor, to take me through the course and prepare me for test. Other students had remarked how strict he is in his training, but to my surprise I found Tony Gould to be a really nice guy, and an ace instructor too! Tony will tell you all your faults, but he also tells you what you're good at, so you don't need to concentrate on those things so much. I found Tony's methods to be excellent, and with his training I passed my Instrument Rating Test with a Full first time Pass, and in the Minimum hours.

To my joy I passed my Commercial Pilots Test with a Full first time Pass, also in the Minimum hours. I still can't believe I passed the Multi, IR and CPL all first time.

I would like to thank all the instructors that assisted me through the course, and all the staff at Bristol Flying Centre for everything being geared to my needs.

If you're thinking of Flight Training my advice is give Bristol Flying Centre a call and just have a chat with them first before you make any decisions."

Martin Nicholls, BFC Student June 2005

"I chose Bristol Flying Centre for my MEP, IR and CPL because I felt that it could offer a good friendly atmosphere between students, instructors and staff and a high standard of training. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed every minute of my time there. All the instructors and staff were very helpful and the training was to a very high standard and delivered in a well-structured and professional manner. Time on the ground was not wasted due to the sociable environment amongst the students, ideal for sharing ideas and experiences and some good banter. I would thoroughly recommend Bristol Flying Centre."

Paul Simpson, BFC student May 2005

"I have just completed my MEP I/R & CPL at Bristol and have enjoyed every minute of it. I was looking for a modular school that offered a good training course along with a high pass rate, and I found Bristol Flying Centre could offer both. Both of their simulators are just as realistic as the aircraft which made the transition from sim to aircraft so much easier, and all of their instructors are focused on getting you through the course and show 100% commitment to their student. I had a very good time at Bristol meeting new people and passing my IR and CPL and whatever happens with my future career I will owe a lot to Bristol Flying Centre."

Greg Warner, BFC student Aug 2005

"I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Bristol Flying Centre for getting me through my CPL/IR. The facilities and aircraft are excellent, the instructors are friendly, professional and teach to a very high standard also the help and morale support was enormous. Again a big thank you to everyone involved, I can't recommend Bristol Flying Centre enough!"

Craig Leach, BFC Student July 2005

"I have done my CPL, IR and Multi with Bristol Flying Centre, and thoroughly enjoyed it. You are probably in the process of finding a decent school after you've finished your atpl exams and don't know where to go. I chose BFC after I visited them and I found the premises excellent the staff very friendly, as well as a very good professional approach to training. It is tough work, there's nothing new here, sometimes you feel like you've gone through the mincer, the nice thing though is that there will always be someone to help you out if you're struggling.
I hope this helps and good luck."

Boris Marie, BFC student Dec 2004

"I just passed the selection process for Air Berlin, concluding in an interview with the head of training and the chief pilot on Friday. There was a complete assessment with sim screening 3 weeks prior to the interview. I am very excited to say that my type rating for the A320 starts on the 17th July and I still can't quite believe it".

Max Mehrens, BFC Student October 2005
